This release brings an overhauled friend page, plus new keyboard shortcuts and several fixes for
glitches that came in 0.99.1.
A screenshot says more than a many words - but even better, try the latest version
yourself! TangoGPS has now found a place: 43.694347 / 7.281404. Thus if
you want to play with the message service, that's where you can find tangoGPS.

The new keyboard shortcuts are arrow left-right and up-down for moving
the map.

Thanks for an awesome application! I'll be using it for an upcoming trip to Mozambique and therefore require full offline use. Unfortunately OSM is not very detailed on Mozambique, so I've had to use the other less free map sources.
In the process of caching the map data, I made a local modification to tile_management.c so that the hashes stored in the hash table has a minute component. This effectively causes a timeout and retry on cached 403 and 404 errors.
Now if only I could setup an offline routing engine...

This is a great application, thanks!
The new find route feature is quite handy in some situations, the only problem is that the route cannot be saved and retrieved at the later stage for off-line use.
This is the progrmam of my choice.

They are saved automatically and can be loaded from the tracks menu. The names of the routes are of the form navYYYYMMDD-hhmmss.gpx.

Another improvement to an excellent piece of software.
Is there a way to force a map update short of finding and deleting from the cache? I've made some changes in my local area on OSM but doing a download won't download the changes tiles if they are already there.
Thanks for your excellent work.

The map download from the map context menu overwrites all tiles with the latest versionsm i.e. you will get the same as when visiting openstreeetmap.org.
